We spend billions managing individual change initiatives
while investing very little in building organizational change fitness.

Just as athletes train consistently rather than preparing only for competition, organizations must build change capability long before the next transformation begins.

I introduce the Change Operating System — a practical model inspired by principles of strength training and behavioral science — to help leaders move beyond project-by-project change.

How i help Organizations Build Organizational Fitness

building Organizational Fitness Through LIFT

Transformation is not a one-time event. Like physical fitness, organizational fitness is built through intentional practice, the right support, progressive challenge, and recovery.

I use the LIFT Framework to help organizations build the strength and adaptability needed to turn change into lasting capability. LIFT is grounded in four principles:

Lead the First Rep

Change starts with leadership. Leaders set the direction, model the behaviors, and demonstrate what the organization is asking others to do. I help leaders move beyond sponsoring change to actively leading it.

Include a Spotter

No one builds strength alone. The right support creates confidence, reinforces new behaviors, and helps teams navigate moments of uncertainty. I help organizations build the networks, partnerships, and support systems that make change sustainable.

Facilitate Progressive Overload

Organizations grow stronger when they are challenged at the right pace. Too little challenge limits growth, while too much can overwhelm the system. I help organizations intentionally increase their capacity for change, building capability through experience rather than simply asking people to absorb more.

Time for Recovery

Constant transformation without recovery creates fatigue, not fitness. Sustainable performance requires space to stabilize, learn, reinforce what is working, and prepare for what comes next. I help organizations recognize when to push and when to allow change to take hold.

From Managing Change to Building Change Fitness

LIFT shifts the focus from successfully implementing the next change to strengthening the organization’s ability to navigate every change that follows.

The goal is not an organization that never feels the weight of transformation. It is an organization that has built the leadership, support, capacity, and resilience to carry it.
